Eclipse™ Pipette Tips
Eclipse™ standard surface pipette tips include as standard many features available from other suppliers only as special upgrades. All the Eclipse™ tips we make are made of high quality 100% pure virgin medical grade polypropylene so you won't find contamination in our tips. We also pre-test the resin to ensure no extractables or unknown contaminants are present. Every lot is lab tested and certified free of detectable Nuclease (Rnase/Dnase), Adenosine Tri-phosphate, and Endotoxin (pyrogen) contamination.
All our resins are pre-tested for metal contamination. Certificates are downloadable from us by lot number for all our tips and available from the certificates page.
Higher Value
All our Eclipse™ tips in racks are packed in our trademarked Teal or Purple racks. These racks are made of polypropylene and are autoclavable repeatedly. They have sturdy latch hinges that won't come apart like lesser quality tip racks and a special snap lock designed so that it will not catch on your gloves. You can also get Eclipse™ tips in resealable zip style bags, in refills for our Pagoda® system, in Eclipse™ refills, and in racks that have been sterilized using irradiation.

Far from "standard" all Labcon Eclipse™ Pipet tips feature medical grade polypropylene resins that are U.S. FDA approved. Our sterile Eclipse™ Tips are sterilized to an SAL of 10-6 so they can be used in medical and diagnostic applications in addition to research. Available in package versions to meet any laboratory needs.

Endotoxin Free (Non pyrogenic) Product samples are exposed to endotoxin-free water and the resulting extraction fluid is tested for contamination using the kinetic turbidimetric Limulus Amoebocyte Lysate (LAL) assay protocol and USP guidelines. All products tested must display less than 0.05 EU/ml to be certified free of endotoxin. |

Nuclease Free (RNase/DNase) Product samples are exposed to nuclease-free water and the resulting extraction fluid is tested for nuclease activity on commercially available 7.5 kb Poly(A) tailed RNA (1µg) and HindIII-digested DNA (1µg) with a one hour 37°C incubation in appropriate buffers. Results are visualized on an agarose gel with appropriate positive and negative controls. Extraction fluid samples must show no degradation of the nucleic acids by the extraction fluid has occurred for the product to be certified as RNase-free and DNase-free |

Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) Product sample surfaces are tested for the presence of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) using a controlled bioluminescence reaction to detect contamination. Luminescence data is compared to results generated by ATP-free surfaces and surfaces with known amounts of ATP as a positive control. The relative light units result must indicate less than 2 X 10-12 mg/µl of ATP for the product to be certified as ATP free. |

Heavy Metals Free Heavy metals have been tested for using the prescribed USP method and confirmed to have levels lower than 1 part per million (1ppm) |

Validated Sterilization Labcon products are sterilized by radiation sterilization within a dose range of 12-35 kGy. The dose range necessary for the stated sterility assurance level is continuously audited through quarterly bio-burden and sterility validation studies performed according to the ANSI/AAMI/ISO 11137 standard by an independent laboratory. This dosage is sufficient to guarantee a sterility assurance level of 10-6. |

Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) PFAS free products have been tested to ensure the products manufactured are free of PFAS compounds. Testing methods followed the guidance of U.S.EPA Method 537 for specific PFAS compounds and U.S. EPA Method 300.0 for inorganic ions. Tests were performed via Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), Isotope Dilution Analyte (IDA), and Combustion Ion Chromatography (CIC) by an independent laboratory. |

Individual Wrap
Individually wrapped packaged in thermal sealed polyethylene bags. These tips have been radiation sterilized. This package is designed to provide the highest assurance that the tips you use are pure.
Loose Pack
Loose pack pipette tips are supplied in resealable polyethylene bags. These are not recommended if you plan to store the tips for long periods since warping can occur after long periods of storage in bags.
Bulk Box
This package is an inexpensive option when your budget is tight. Tips are supplied in one large bag inside a corrugated container. We also recommend you do not store these tips for long periods if warping is a concern.
96 Rack
These racks offer workhorse reliability and versatility. They have heavy hook hinges that are extremely durable and an ergonomic snap latch that won't catch gloves. Smooth rounded edges and reinforced seal make these racks durable additions to your lab. Strong enough to be autoclaved many times. The separate rack insert includes a beveled top and extra sturdy surface for multi-channel pipetting. A vent in the rack sides allows steam autoclaving to be more efficient and assures your tips are sterile.
192 Rack
A longer version of our 96 rack these racks offer workhorse reliability and versatility. Smooth rounded edges and reinforced seal make these racks durable additions to your lab. Strong enough to be autoclaved many times. The separate rack insert includes a beveled top and extra sturdy surface for multi-channel pipetting.
96 Stack Rack
This package gives you the best of both worlds; low cost and a complete high quality rack. You assemble the rack yourself and insert the fully racked refills into the rack. Since you never touch the tips you don't have to be concerned about contamination from your hands or latex gloves. These stacks are very stable so you can pipette with a multichannel pipette right from the stack.
192 Stack Rack
192 version of this package gives you the best of both worlds; low cost and a complete high quality rack. You assemble the rack yourself and insert the fully racked refills into the rack. Since you never touch the tips you don't have to be concerned about contamination from your hands or latex gloves.
