Labcon has been making pipet tips almost since the introduction of pipetting instruments in the 1960's. We made some of the first pipet tips for clinical applications (back then there were no research uses). When the first Oxford® brand pipettors were made they where supplied with tips made by us. With the introduction of the Pipetman® from Gilson® we moved into the research arena with a range of disposable tips for what is now one of the most popular pipettors brands in the world. We have learned a great deal in the 40 years we have been making pipet tips. This is experience we now put to work for you with our Classic™ and Premier™ range of pipet tips as well as products available to you through private label brands and from O.E.M. suppliers.

Labcon Premier™ tips have advanced features like UltraFine points, extra smooth inner walls, and flexible tops that you can't find elsewhere. Premier™ tips also come with the most complete testing program available from anyone. Our exclusive Premier™ package of pre-testing includes Nuclease (Rnase/Dnase), Human DNA, Endotoxin (for sterile tips), Trace Metals (Heavy Metals), CFR 21 Resin Certification, and Medical Grade Resin testing.
All Premier™ tips in racks are packed in our trademark Teal clear racks. These racks are made of polypropylene and are autoclavable repeatedly. They have sturdy latch hinges that won't come apart like lesser quality tip racks and a special snap lock designed so that it will not catch on your gloves. You can also get Premier™ tips in resealable zip style bags, in refills for our Pagoda® system, in Eclipse™ refills, and in racks that have been sterilized using irradiation.
Our Premier™ tips in sterile racks, like all our other products, have received valid sterilization processing compliant with ISO 11137. This is a feature you won't get from most pipet tip suppliers, really sterile product. Most pipet tip makers simply dose their products at a gamma or beta dose that they have set using a chart. They have never done the real work required to actually test to see if the products inside are sterile after they are dosed. Doing this work and maintaining a truly sterile process takes time consuming and costly work and quarterly testing. If what you are getting now from a different supplier is called "pre-sterilized" or "irradiated" sterile pipet tips you are not getting a sterile product.
